PayPal Script - "A.S.A.P. Software Delivery
using PayPal" (coded in php)

Purpose of script: Automated password
protected purchasing of downloadable files of any type. After successful
purchase using PayPal, a purchaser is granted password-protected access
to download a file (any type/format) one time. The user is sent the
download URL, a username and password via email. Subsequent attempts to
log in and download the file again (or share the URL with friends), will
result in the viewer being denied access.
Theory of Operation:
- The purchaser places the file to be purchased into a PayPal shopping
cart using PayPal generated buttons (instructions on how to create the
PayPal buttons are contained in our README file).
- Once the purchaser successfully "checks out", (pays for
the item in the PayPal shopping cart), the purchaser is then automatically
assigned a randomly generated password.
- The purchaser is sent an email automatically with instructions on
how to log in to retrieve the purchased file.
- The user then can log onto the URL with a username/password combination
to download the file ONE TIME.
- Once the file has been downloaded, the purchaser is then restricted
from accessing or downloading the information on subsequent attempts.

multiple items at once rather than purchasing
multiple products individually, each which
can then be downloaded through our password

- Written in PHP.
- Flatfile database
is used to eliminate the need for a MySQL
database (or similar database).
- "Add To
Cart" buttons used to purchase items
(software downloads) are generated by PayPal's
web site using their online "Create Button
Now" function in the PayPal member's
area as well as a "View Cart" button.
Each button setup is explained in our README
file included with your purchase.
- The file that
is being offered for sale and download is
protected from direct viewing by blocking
all users from HTTP, but allowing access via
non-anonymous FTP and via the filesystem.
- The A.S.A.P.
Software Delivery using PayPal scripts
also include commented code that show you
ALL the variables that are sent by PayPal.
This allows you some flexibility to modify
the code if you desire to do so.
- Administrator,
and webmaster are each emailed when an order
is successfully placed. The webmaster code
can easily be commented out if not needed.
This script works
very well to allow single-instance downloads
of files. It can be modified to support just
about any scenario that involves downloading
purchased files of any type. We (WebGraffix)
are in the process of developing version 1.1
which will allow purchases of multiple files,
each which can then be downloaded through password
protected login screens. Detailed, clear and
concise instructions are provided in our README
file with you purchase of the A.S.A.P Software
Delivery using PayPal script. WebGraffix

purchase and paid tech support after 7 days.
The script is easy to install if the instruction
are followed and works like a charm.
